Conseguenze della fine della Net Neutrality sull’Ott. YouTube e Twitch aumenteranno la pubblicità sulle loro piattaforme

YouTube e Twitch, più pubblicità per far fronte a costi elevati. La fine della cosiddetta «net neutrality», la neutralità della rete, proposta dal presidente della Fcc, Ajit Pai, potrebbe costare caro ai servizi di streaming come YouTube di Alphabet e Twitch di Amazon, che utilizzano la banda larga. A dichiararlo è l’analista Michael Pachter di Wedbush Securities. Al contrario di Netflix e altri servizi streaming, YouTube e Twitch offrono i propri contenuti in modo completamente gratuito, perciò si troverebbero ad affrontare le nuove eventuali spese per avere banda senza poter usufruire del contributo degli utenti. Tali piattaforme saranno costrette, probabilmente, a pubblicare un maggior numero di annunci pubblicitari in modo da compensare le spese più elevate.
