Richard Gere, col figlio 19/enne Homer, è stato ieri in visita all’istituto buddistaLama Tzong Khapa di Pomaia (Pisa) al quale è legato da anni e dove era già stato in passato. La notizia è stata pubblicata al quotidiano Il Tirreno. Gere ha trascorso alcune ore insieme ai vertici e subito dopo pranzo è tornato in Maremma dove soggiornerà per alcuni giorni di vacanza.L’attore, spiega una nota diffusa dall’istituto, “di fede buddhista e grande sostenitore del Dalai Lama, ha supportato diverse campagne a favore dell’indipendenza del Tibet: prima di visitare il Centro e portare i suoi saluti a chi stava partecipando alle attività, ha pranzato con Ghesce Tenzin Tenphel, maestro residente dell’Istituto, il figlio Homer, con Paola Maugeri, giornalista, cantante e conduttrice televisiva che si trova in istituto per un ritiro, e con il direttore Michele Cernuto”. Gere ha anche parlato “della sua ultima esperienza con l’ong Open Arms, quando nei giorni scorsi è salito a bordo della nave Ocean Viking”.
