Gli zombie di Jim Jarmusch aprono il festival di Cannes

Bill Murray, Chloe Sevigny, Adam Driver e Tilda Swinton dovranno affrontare i non morti nel film ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ che aprirà il festival. Iggy Pop in versione zombie
Cannes si inaugura con gli zombie. Il film di Jim JarmuschThe Dead Don’t Die sarà il film che apre il settantuesimo festival di Cannes dal 14 al 25 maggio. Con un cast ricchissimo che vanta Bill Murray, Chloe Sevigny, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Rosie Perez, Danny Glover, Iggy Pop e Tom Waits. Il film racconta le avventure della pacifica cittadina di Centerville che si ritrova sotto attacco degli zombie. Nella serenità di una cittadina di provincia qualcosa di strano sta succedendo. La luna è onnipresente nel cielo, la luce del giorno si manifesta a orari imprevedibili e gli animali si comportano in modo strano e nessuno sa spiegare perché. Mentre la polizia locale indaga è chiaro che i morti stiano uscendo dalle loro tombe e sono pronti ad attaccare i viventi e la battglia per la sopravvivenza è iniziata.Jarmusch ha una stretta relazione con il festival di Cannes dove ha esordito nel 1984 con Stranger Than Paradise vincendo la Camera d’or, il suo ultimo film Paterson, protagonista Adam Driver, è stato presentato in concorso due anni fa come pure Solo gli amanti sopravvivono, nel 2013, protagonisti i vampiri Tilda Swinton e Tom Hiddleston. Il film concorre per la Palma d’oro che sarà assegnata dalla giuria guidata dal premio Oscar messicano Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu.
